At midnight on 21st April 2024 five FFF players participated in the most epic running challenge! A collective of 40 men did something unique. Whilst the majority were asleep, we laced up our trainers and gathered at the starting line for an unforgettable experience, the London Marathon My Way, 26.2 miles around Letchworth Garden City through the night.
The Flawed Hero London Marathon is about support and improving our levels of fitness and ambition. We don't need the crowds of London. We don't need the landmarks of Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, and the Tower Bridge. We have purpose. The Flawed Hero London Marathon is not just about speed and endurance. It's about celebrating the flaws that make us human. Embrace your imperfections and let them fuel your determination to cross that finish line, after 26.2 miles.
So, mark your calendars and start training for the Flawed Hero London Marathon 2025. This is your chance to become a hero in your own right and join a community. Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to create memories that will last a lifetime.

“Originally, I was surprised that I even agreed to take part in the London Marathon My Way. Alongside the 39 other participants we started at midnight, ran through the night, and had our event completed before the actual race had even started. We were raising money for the charity It’s Never You who support parents of terminally ill children.
It felt like a long way, and it was an extra challenge to run through the night, but life is about pushing ourselves, or at least that's what Phil Robertson tells me!
We now have the opportunity to consider doing it next year, starting at midnight on 27th April 2025!"
Wayne Mitchell from FFF
(Is what Wayne has told Phil Roberton the organiser)
One of the FFF founders Wayne Mitchell ran the event in 2024 and is "considering his options" for 2025. He is not a marathon runner, and indeed he is not a runner at all. For those that have played football with him, you may suggest that he's no sportsman at all.
Unlike Wayne, the organiser Phil Roberton is a runner, and the London Marathon has been a big part of his life. He's seen countless inspiring stories and sees it as far more than a run. In 2025 this will be only the second time the event has been run in this way and Phil wants a huge diverse group of men running in this event, different backgrounds, different stories.
It would be fabulous if we could get 25 FFF participants to take part in this event. Fitness and ability is no issue, this is an event for everyone.
